Recruiting - Uncle Sam has been the personification of the United States government since the early 1800’s. The classic image of an elderly white-haired man with a goatee, however, did not appear until around 1916. Using his own face as a model and a pose inspired by a British recruiting poster, J.M. Flagg created the now iconic U.S. Army Recruitment poster used during both World War I and World War II. Our charm is a .925 sterling silver rendition of this classic Uncle Sam pose, accented with red and blue enamels and a banner inscribed with “Recruiting”. This product can be engraved for a $15 fee. It can have 1 Line of 7 characters each. You can add your engraving specifications to the instructions for the seller in the shopping cart.
