Recruiting Charm
Recruiting - Uncle Sam has been the personification of the United States government since the early 1800’s. The classic image of an elderly white-haired man with a goatee, however, did not appear until around 1916. Using his own face as a model and a pose inspired by a British recruiting poster, J.M. Flagg created the now iconic U.S. Army Recruitment poster used during both World War I and World War II. Our charm is a .925 sterling silver rendition of this classic Uncle Sam pose, accented with red and blue enamels and a banner inscribed with “Recruiting”.
This .925 silver charm is part of our military jewelry collection, which features more items that honor our armed forces. Browse our website to share your unique story.
