Naval Station Norfolk is in Virginia, on the Hampton Roads peninsula known as Sewells Point. As the largest naval complex in the world, the Station provides operational support for the U.S. Atlantic Fleet, and houses a variety of aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, large amphibious ships, and submarines. The city of Norfolk sits just to the south. In 1999, a free-spirited mermaid became the logo for Norfolk, and currently there are over 100 mermaid sculptures throughout the city. Our charm is a .925 sterling silver mermaid with blue enamel accents on the tail and “Norfolk” inscribed on the back.
