EOD Basic - The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Badge is the only military occupation badge awarded to all four service branches. The Badge is awarded at three levels - Basic, Senior and Master - depending on training and years of experience. Commonly referred to as the “Crab”, its individual components each have special meaning related to the EOD Technician’s mission: locate, identify and render safe all types of ordnance.
